Smartphones

Smartphones are a part of our lives and is most used gadget by almost everyone these days. With these phones becoming smaller and more functional, everyone seems to love it. For most of us, it is the first thing we use in the morning and last thing at night. In this world of smartphone, we will try to list five commonly used functions in smartphones and five more functions that we wish to have:
Smartphones are a bad deal – let's hope laptops don't go the same ...
5 functions commonly used
  1. Camera
With easily available cameras in phones of lower budget aswell, almost everyone having a smartphone use this feature. It is so popular that some of us might have used it more than we actually use to call our closed ones.
2.             GPS navigation
Whether it be for commuting or it be for visiting new places GPS navigation is used nowadays. WIth two most popular maps Google maps and apple maps, there is probably any place that these these maps can not recognize. This has been possible with community contribution and is one of the most used features.
3.             Mails
It used to be a time where we had to wait up to days to get a reply in our emails. With the introduction of smartphones which is in our hand always, individuals are notified in a matter of seconds about the new email. It hasn’t just made the communication faster but a lot easier as well.
4.             Phone contact list
A generation ago, everyone used to have a phonebook with list of handwritten contacts. They even remember the details of contact they be in touch frequently. For the rest of else they had to look up everytime they need to contact. And if they loose it, would be a nightmare to collect all those again. With the introduction of smartphones we can now store as many contacts as we want and is used extensively.
5.             Portable music system
Music has been a part of our lives since a very long time whether it be during happy times or at sad times. WIth transistors getting smaller, phones having greater storage along with readily available music managing apps, music players have been so popular.
5 functions in wish list
1.    Long battery life
If you're paying good money, it would be ideal to have at least two days worth of battery life. A battery that is always running low is pretty frustrating. Wouldn't it be great to not have to worry about when we'll be able to charge our phones next? It doesn't necessarily need a very high mAh, it just needs to be effectively optimized to the system.

2.             Fast wireless charging
While we're on the subject of batteries, it makes sense to talk about wireless charging. These are fast, practical and easy-to-use. The possibility to charge them quickly would be perfect for those situations where you need to leave the house, but you've only just realized you have a low battery.

3.             Biometry
We carry a good part of our social life in our phones. I'm not just talking about Facebook and WhatsApp, I'm talking about passwords, documents, private conversations and other things that we would not want to fall into the wrong hands. So, biometric unlocking methods should be a priority for all smartphone manufacturers, even for cheaper phones.

4.             Protection against water and dirt
The cost of smartphones is getting higher and higher. In my opinion, any phone above $200 should have this kind of protection. It's inevitable that they will be exposed to dirt and liquids at some point. The current technology for this is pretty expensive, and makes the device thicker and heavier, but the technology will of course eventually be perfected and become cheaper and easier to implement.
5.             Mobile payment support
This is still not a widely used technology, and it hasn't quite caught on yet with either companies or users. However, it won't be too long before this payment method becomes a way for you to pay for your everyday items. For this reason, it would be great if smartphones were already using both the NFC chip and the technology that allows the different types of mobile payments, as many people will still be using the same smartphones in a few years, when this payment method will become the norm.
